★bdentertainment24: (BSS): Chief Advisor to the Interim Government Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus left Dhaka for Azerbaijan this morning to attend the COP-29 climate conference.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told BASS that a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Chief Adviser and his entourage left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11 am today.
This time the COP-29 climate conference is being held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
Shafiqul Alam said, “On the occasion of the climate conference, the chief adviser will be on an official visit to Azerbaijan on November 11-14.”
He said that the Chief Advisor will spend a very busy time on this visit. Bangladesh, one of the countries at risk of climate change, will present its claims in Baku and the damage that Bangladesh is facing due to climate change.
He further said that Professor Yunus will address various forums of the COP-29 Climate Conference and he is scheduled to meet with important persons participating there.
The fact that Bangladesh is playing a leading role in combating global climate change will also be highlighted in this conference.
