bdentertainment 24 : The students of Dhaka University (DU) have demanded the removal of “fascism’s accomplices” including Mustafa Saryar Faruqi, who was sworn in as an advisor to the interim government.
This demand was made in a human chain organized at the foot of the Raju sculpture on Monday afternoon.
Some leaders including Hasnat Abdullah, convener of anti-discrimination student movement, participated in the human chain.
Three months after the formation of the interim government, the size of the advisory council of Muhammad Yunus was increased again on Sunday.  On this day, businessman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, filmmaker Mustafa Saryar Faruqi and special assistant of the chief adviser took oath as advisors.  Mahfuz Alam.
Later, Sheikh Bashir Uddin was given the responsibility to handle the Ministry of Commerce as well as the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.  Another new adviser, Mustafa Saryar Faruqi, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture.
Since the swearing in of the three advisors, discussions have been going on about Sheikh Bashir and Farooqui on social media.
Hasnat Abdullah said in the mannabandhan, “Students have staged a coup with fresh blood.  He made this appointment without discussing with them.
“You stop messing with the students, the citizens, the workers.  You will be in danger, then ask the students to take to the streets.  It won’t be like this for much longer.  We do not want to see rehabilitation of those who have eaten the salt of fascism in any form.”
“Yesterday, the advisers of the fascism allies were fired without informing us.  If this continues, it won’t be long before we form a new government.  We will be in the field with blood to protect the mass uprising of 24.”
Abdul Quader, the former coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, said, “It was said that if Abu Saeed, Wasim, Mochas gave their lives, the fascist system would be abolished.  But advisors are being appointed without consulting those who are stakeholders in the abolition of fascism.”
He said, “If you think, the revolutionaries have fallen asleep.  You are wrong.  We are ready to go down once again with the abolition of the fascist structure.”
Leaders of anti-discrimination movement Tariqul Islam, Hasib Al Islam, Rifad Rashid and others also spoke in the human chain.
