President Md. Sahabuddin recited the oath to them at 7:30 pm in the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban.
The interim government’s chief adviser Nobel laureate professor Dr. Three new advisers took oath in the presence of Muhammad Yunus.
They are: businessman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, eminent cultural personality Mustafa Sarayar Faruqi and Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Mahfuz Alam.
After reciting the oath, the newly appointed advisers each sign the adviser’s oath and the oath of secrecy.
Secretary of the Council of Ministers. Sheikh Abdur Rashid conducted the oath ceremony.
With today’s swearing-in ceremony, the number of advisers in the interim government now stands at 24.
Earlier, on August 8, the chief adviser, Nobel laureate Professor Dr. 14 advisers including Muhammad Yunus.
Several advisers, chiefs of the three forces and senior military and civilian officials were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country in a popular uprising on August 5, the day of the ‘March to Dhaka’ program of the anti-discrimination student movement.
